The latter has a simplified input setup with only an A and B button mapped, with the A button under the analog stick.
This A button setup on the Poké Ball Plus controller can be a bit awkward, especially when you are selecting from various options. In that, if you make any kind of directional input as you press down on the stick, it will slide off what you were selecting. What’s more, with the limited button options, it does feel like half a controller at times.
The motion sensing aspect of the Poké Ball Plus is solidly done though and throwing Poké Balls at Pokémon this way does feel nice.
